Kids Voting Arkansas New Program! Online Curriculum Access. "By teachers, for teachers" When Civics Alive! was posted online in 2000, a door was opened to allow thousands of educators access to our innovative, exciting, hands-on curriculum. Now, we have other exciting additions to our curricula, including Destination Democracy, the KVUSA service-learning materials for high schools, the English/Español Supplement and four new activities for Civics Alive!. | Civics Alive! is a comprehensive collection of K-12 activities that are exciting and easy to teach. The curriculum provides citizenship education through classroom activities and "real life" community engagement. Destination Democracy is Kids Voting USA’s newest curriculum designed to engage high school students in meaningful service-learning experiences. Students practice the skills of democratic living as they learn important civic lessons in the classroom and participate in activities in their communities. The philosophical basis of the Kids Voting Arkansas curricula is to help students discover the value of becoming an active and informed participant in our democracy. New for Fall 2002 are Kids Voting Spanish-language materials including a condensed version of Civics Alive! and Destination Democracy activities, a Teacher Guide, and a Family Guide full of fun activities.
