Areawide Media reports fraud

According to a report appearing in the Villager Journal in Cherokee Village, Areawide Media is among several media outlets that have been victims of a Missouri woman charged with stealing.

Chastity Dawn Foster, 33, of Willow Springs, Mo., was arrested June 3 at the Howell County (Mo.) Sheriff's Department. Janie Flynn, publisher of Areawide Media, told police that Foster had placed several advertisements for different business in the company's newspaper and that $550 remained uncollected.

Foster reportedly owes over $4,000.00 to the Howell County News in Willow Springs and $11,000 to KHOM Radio in West Plains, Mo.
