Default Fahr named president of APME

Rick Fahr, publisher of the Log Cabin Democrat in Conway, has been named president of the Arkansas Chapter of the Associated Press Managing Editors (APME), succeeding Andy Weld, editor of the Blytheville Courier News. The APME group announced the changes at their Saturday meeting in Little Rock.

Tamara Johnson, managing editor of the Times-Herald in Forrest City is the new vice president of the group while Maria Flora, managing editor of The Sun in Jonesboro, Lesley Valadez, managing editor of the Stuttgart Daily Leader, Mark Gregory, associate editor of The Sentinel-Record in Hot Springs, and Angelia Roberts, managing editor of the Batesville Daily Guard are members of the APME association board.

Also, Alyson Hoge, deputy managing editor/news for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Little Rock, was elected to a four-year term on the APME board of directors.
