ANF Receives $1,000.00 Scholarship from UAMS

Andrea Peel, Director of Communications at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock announced earlier this month that UAMS would be donating $1,000.00 to the Arkansas Newspaper Foundation.
The presentation was held at the Tri-State Press Convention in Tunica, Mississippi. The presentation was made to Karen Brown, ANF Executive Director, by Andrea Peel and Leslie Taylor of UAMS.
"We appreciate UAMS so much," state Brown, "They are long time friends of the Arkansas Newspaper Foundation." Brown went on to say, "The relationship that we have with UAMS goes beyond the border of the typical relationship that one might expect of a sponsor. UAMS shares our objective of supporting educational efforts in the state, providing opportunities for learning and literacy, and supporting efforts to create an informed citizenry for a healthier and happier Arkansas. In addition to the donation, both Andrea and Leslie played in the annual golf tournament.
"We are sincerely grateful for UAMS and their support," Brown said.
