Default Opportunity for local newspapers to help classrooms

Sonic and are working together to provide necessary funding to public school classrooms across the nation. You have may have a teacher or teachers who are participating in the Fall 2013 initiative. The official site indicates that there are 197 projects in Arkansas that are seeking funds or materials.

As part of the Arkansas Newspaper Foundation literacy outreach, I have compiled a list of communities that have a classroom or classrooms signed up for the program. These classrooms have a need for “learning materials and/or funding for innovative teaching techniques to inspire creativity and learning…” Sonic fans get to “vote” on their favorite project. The projects with the most votes get funded.

Fall 2013 voting is available now through October 27, 2013. For more information about the Limeades for Learning program or to learn more about the classroom projects in your readership area, go to

Wouldn’t it be great if your newspaper were instrumental in publicizing the need of a teacher and classroom in your area? If you have questions regarding the following list, contact Karen Brown, ANF Executive Director, at
