Little Rock is second stop for FOIA 'Road Show'
The Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock will be the setting for the second stop in the Freedom of Information Act “Road Show” series featuring Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, members of his staff and media representatives discussing the intricacies of the FOIA Tuesday, June 14, 10-2 p.m.

Deputy Attorney General Beth Walker and Assistant Attorney General Ryan Owsley will discuss the FOIA in detail during the morning session. A panel discussion featuring Walker and Owsley along with veteran journalists David Bailey, Dennis Byrd and Larry Fugate will take place right after lunch.

Lunch will be provided for those pre-registering. Register by sending an email to, or by calling the Arkansas Press Association at 501-374-1500.

The FOIA series is co-sponsored by the Arkansas Press Association and the Arkansas Attorney General’s office. The sessions are designed to acquaint appointed or elected office holders, record custodians, law enforcement officers or anyone interested in learning more of their rights and responsibilities under the Arkansas FOIA.

There is no charge to attend the session but those planning to attend must pre-register and space is limited so please don’t delay.
When it is concluded the FOIA “Road Show” will have convened in each of the state’s four congressional districts. After Little Rock subsequent stops on the tour will be made in Fayetteville, Sept. 20, and Arkadelphia, Nov. 1.
