Kennedy has been advertising director since October 2008, when he relocated to Stuttgart from Cape Coral, Fla., where he was publisher of the Breeze/Ogden Group. Prior to joining the Daily Leader, he held positions at The Kansan in Kansas City, Kan.; Hernado Today in Brooksville, Fla.; Register Herald in Eaton, Ohio; The Observer in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; The Enquirer Journal in Monroe, N.C.; The Delta Democrat Times in Greenville, Miss., and the Lake City (Fla.)
