Karen Brown, executive director

The Arkansas Newspaper Foundation is the non-profit arm of the Arkansas Press Association that provides services to thirty daily newspapers, eight semi-weekly newspapers and one hundred-three weekly newspapers across the state. The board is made up of six newspaper publishers who represent the diverse regions of Arkansas.

The Arkansas Newspaper Foundation (ANF) annually coordinates summer internships available to journalism majors in Arkansas colleges and universities. While all divisions of journalism are welcome, heaviest consideration is given to newspaper journalism majors (including advertising), to juniors and seniors and to students with working experience (part-time jobs and internships).

For more than 20 years, the Arkansas Newspaper Foundation has been providing journalism scholarships to Arkansas colleges and universities. Funds are raised through golf tournaments, scholarship auctions, private donations, corporate donations and memorials, as well as being supported by member newspapers in a wide variety of ways.
